A Case of Heterotopic Pregnancy Following IVF-ET

Abstract

|
Heterotopic pregnancy, simulataneous intra-and extra-uterine gestation, is relatively rare condition. Evidence at present suggests that it occurs more often after pregnancy is achieved by an assisted reproductive technology(ART) such as in vitro
fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET), gamete intrafallopain transfer(GIFT) than in natural conceptions.
We report a case of heterotopic pregnancy confirmed by surgical removal of ruptured Lt. tubal pregnancy and sonographic findings of the intrauterine twine pregnancy following IVF-ET.
